How do I use the Salitair?

The Salitair is very simple to use, just insert the device into your mouth and inhale through your mouth. You do not need to inhale more deeply than during normal breathing. You should then exhale through the nose as this ensures that the complete respiratory tract is thoroughly cleansed.

Salitair should be used fifteen minutes daily, either as one continuous period or broken down into 3 five minute sessions. Salitair is so effortless you can use it alongside other activities such as watching your favourite television show or surfing the internet.

How often do you need to replace the salt?

Salitair comes with 220g of natural rock salt crystals. It is advised that you fully replace the salt every 4-6 weeks for maximum hygiene and effectiveness. If you change the salt every 4-6 weeks as recommended, each 220g refill bottle can last up to 3 months.
Does not include salt, natural rock salt can be sourced online from reputable retailers. 1 refill is enough for about four months of use.

Is Salitair suitable for children?

Salitair can be used by a person of any age so long as they are able to inhale through the mouth and exhale through the nose.

Can I still take my current medication?

As Salitair contains only natural ingredients there are no known side effects and it can be used alongside any current medication.

Will Salitair affect my blood pressure?

No, the amount of sodium that enters the body is very low and will not affect blood pressure. Most of the salt is expelled through the nose when exhaling anyway, once it has cleansed the respiratory tract.

How do I clean and store the Salitair inhaler?

It is important not to store Salitair in places of high humidity such as in the bathroom, and it should not come into contact with water when it is filled with salt. When you have emptied the Salitair in order to replace the salt, the device can be cleaned by holding it under warm running water. Once the device is completely clean, you can refill it with salt.
